“Night steps from its seat” is a great image, Mark…. Even a “Whoa!” kind of moment. Five evocative words…..

Night taking its place, cloaking us all. Thank you Jana.

Wow, Mark, this evokes a very powerful image in an original way. That second line is enough to bring on chills. Well done!

Cloaking us is not necessarily protecting us, thus adding to your chills. Glad you ‘enjoyed’ this poem, Miranda and thank you.

Tantalising lines, Mark – a real set-up for the imagination!

You mentioned Tales of the Unexpected a while ago Chris and perhaps this is part of that territory. Thank you so much.

Mark, these are like two lines from a song. You should make music, man. I would gratefully listen.

Despite the incredible amount of time I spend listening to music I have absolutely no musical talent. Lyrics would be all I could offer – thanks Tony.
